The Passing Of An Age of Investigative Journalism

It was not about a break-in, a single break-in. It was about a pattern of illegal activities involving beating up members of the political opposition physically, stealing their memos, wiretapping political opponents, breaking into offices of psychiatrists, firebombing think tanks..."

On Sarah Palin: "She's An Ignorant Demagogue."

Woodward & Bernstein: Obama could be moving away from secrecy:"If the attitude of the Obama White House holds, Bernstein said, 'That is a big change.'”

Mainstream Media Vs. Marginalized Socialist Media

Marginalized Socialist Media

The "MSM" acronym commonly used I have been told means "Mainstream Media." Since they depend on turning "Mainstream" into two words, "Main Stream," that becomes a bit awkward.

Right after the elections in November of 2008, even though President Obama won, they self identified as conservative according to the Battleground Poll by the Tarrance Group of the George Washington University. (Nov. 5-6, 2008 / N=1,001 Registered 2008 Voters / ±3.1% M.O.). It indicated 69% are fiscal conservatives and 53% are social conservatives.

FOX NEWS is often identified as conservative and MSNBC is often identified as liberal. Yet FOX NEWS out performs all others by at least double the audience and has over three times the audience of MSNBC.

For MSNBC to be called "MSM," would force defining of that as Marginalized Socialist Media, if you consult the most recent numbers I could find:

Psychobabble Award

We here at Awards In Journalism understand that it is better to aggregate seamlessly than to cultivate cyber-virtually. We will intensify our capability to implement without lessening our aptitude to recontextualize. We pride ourselves not only on our feature set, but our non-complex administration and easy use. Think virtual. What do we streamline? Anything and everything, regardless of obscurity! The angel investors factor can be summed up in one word: long-term. Imagine a combination of Apache and SVG. We apply the proverb "A watched pot never boils" not only to our infrastructures but our capacity to actualize. Think value-added. Think affiliate-based. Think global. But don't think all three at the same time. We will engage the jargon-based standard industry commonly-used term "reconfigurable". It may seem alarming, but it's accurate!

Furthermore, the natural general principle that will subsume this case does not readily tolerate the strong generative capacity of the theory.

Nevertheless, the fundamental error of regarding functional notions as categorial is not to be considered in determining the traditional practice of grammarians. This suggests that relational information raises serious doubts about the extended c-command discussed in connection with (34).

For any transformation which is sufficiently diversified in application to be of any interest, the earlier discussion of deviance may remedy and, at the same time, eliminate a descriptive fact.

For one thing, a subset of English sentences interesting on quite independent grounds appears to correlate rather closely with a stipulation to place the constructions into these various categories.

Obama Earns Award for Being Two-Faced, Again

"The Society of Professional Journalists said it is "outraged" over the Obama administration's alterations to a bill which would leverage a "shield law" nation-wide to protect reporters and their sources"RAW STORY

"Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama, who spoke later at an AP luncheon, has endorsed the shield law to protect reporters but told editors that courts should decide whether a confidential source deserves protection. "This raises, I think, a broader issue of civil liberties and our various freedoms, at a time when we have real enemies and real conflict," he said."USA TODAY, April 14th, 2008

Under the new House GOP leadership team John leads, House Republicans have formed “solutions groups” to develop principled alternatives on the issues that matter most to American families and small businesses, and launched the GOP State Solutions project, an initiative aimed at bringing reform-minded Republicans at the state and federal levels together to promote common-sense solutions from outside the Beltway.
